Collin Samatas is an American visual artist and motion designer, born in the early 1980's and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Having long felt a pull towards audiovisual stimulation, he perpetually responds to the many worlds around and within himself. The name "Lord Solaris" was conceived in late 1999 as an AOL screen name, eventually evolving into a fully-registered brand.

Currently residing in Los Angeles, Collin hopes to inspire future creators the same way he has similarly been moved by the art of other artists.
